Paintball!

On the 22nd of March, we had our very first paintball event. 25 people turned up but we played with some other random fellas so the number of people who actually played was more than 30! Talk about havoc.

Many, if not all, got bruises from playing the game. Some got it at their most delicate of parts. Haha. The girls (especially Charissa), didn't reaaally enjoy it. She felt quite stressed 2-3 rounds into the game. Not really her type of thing, she said. The boys enjoyed it though! Some even wanted AMS to organize another round!

Oh we definitely will.. and we'll try to get someplace cheaper. $60 sounds decent but it's a little over the top for some people.

But all in all, a very very fun day.

Nadhir.

Karaoke seshhh

Sorry about the wait guys, I've been tied up with silly assignments and work's been hectic:S But nonetheless, the blogging must go on! :D

First of all, did everyone have a good easter?! I'm sure everyone's been stuffing themselves with copious amount of chocolate and yummy hot cross buns *gags* ( yet another reason to eat more chocolate lol and get FAT) To be honest, i never really got the deal with the whole easter bunny thing, along with the chocolate eggs...Can someone please enlighten me on this? I would very much like to understand what I'm celebrating lol..........

Back to the agenda

Well what can i say about our last karaoke session at utopia...an absolute shocker! Not only was i stunned at how well our president could sing in mandarin...HE COULD EVEN IMPROVISE ON THAI SONGS. Never have i felt so ashamed of being a Chinese lol i couldn't understand a single word.

Although i might not have understood a single word in mandarin, everyone certainly impressed me with their enthusiasm to sing! Almost everyone had a chance to bust out a couple of their favourite songs to awe the crowd lol. Songs like the Ketchup song, Tong hua, Tian Tang, a couple of songs by the BSBs, Westlife, and Jay Chow, just to name a FEW.

As you could see we had quite a diverse variety of songs to choose from and pretty much everyone brought out the rockstar/pop idol/ bollywood singer within :D Not only were there a variety of songs to choose from, there were nearly a gazillion variety of bubble tea drinks to satisfy everyone's thirst. At the end of the karaoke session, it was more of a 'recovering' session lol everyone did good and i must say that, when it comes to karaoke-ing we're all certainly little 'chilli padis' thts a force to be reckoned with:D

I'd like to thank everyone for making it to the karaoke session and just having a blast with one another. Without you guys, it wouldn't have been possible.

Cheers,

su su

And to add some pics to satisfy your visual needs:

Btw, Nadhir's expression whilst singing is always like this lol :P

Singing to one of the songs from BSB (guess which one it is!)

Here we go again, Nadhir's expression...

Steambooooatttt - committee berbonding session

I know this has been a while but at least I have finally posted this up.

The steamboat dinner was the first committee get-together so that we got to know each other better and was for us to strengthen our relationship with each other, as Nadhir quoted, "WE ARE ALL A FAMILY". Not all of the committee members were present (and they should be present for the next one - you guys know who you are so no excuse the next time...), but we still had our ex-committee members being there, who are still strongly part of the club.

Nintendo Wii - damn addictive. But the boxing one is a great workout for the arms!!!

Vincent, the Tom Yam expertise who spiced up our tastebuds (Guarantee you that his tom yam is the best!)

First of all I want to say thanks to Nadhir for hosting the dinner at his white house (it's more of an entertainment hub).

Without Kristy organizing it (the one in the little miss sunshine shirt hehe), this wouldn't even happen - so thanks!!! :D

Vincent, our chef, thanks for making us the spicy tom yam (and even some people claim that it's not spicy enough) and the chicken soup. Without it, we won't even have our steamboat - So thanks!!!

I made Oreo and Toblerone cheesecake for the very first time and sadly I forgot to even take a picture of it but thanks to everyone for supporting me by eating it.

Amanda, thanks for helping out with the preparation of the food. You're a great help!!! :D

And thanks to everyone else for being there and creating a lively environment.

And we shall have our next one soon (hint hint Nadhir)

And yes I will post up another one soon.

O-Day

Two weeks ago, we had our very first for this year, "recruiting new members" session, with thanks to Nadhir, Charissa, James and Sharmela. To all our members, thanks for signing up with us and supporting our club - we promise you that we will give our best to entertain you and help out if you have any problems. We will have another signing up session coming up soon on this coming Wednesday (12th March) so come and look for us if you have not signed up. You wouldn't want to miss our paintball event and our lepak sessions!!!

Yes, this is our truly patriotic president, Nadhir Ashafiq, who tried to dress up as the "Malaysian Superman", recruiting new members along the Guild pathway and randomly waving at people (you should see some of their responses) ;) ...

This is me, Charissa, with a dying voice, who spent many hours talking and ended up completely losing my voice. (And to those who wants my dying voice to stay that way because they
think it's sexy - errr no thanks).

Our Public Relations (PR) officer, Sharmela. And sorry James, this is a picture I can only find of you (your picture wasn't taken during that day thanks to Nad)

Another update will be coming soon!
